Continued... located in the neighborhood, and we all got together at Hansel Center and discussed how we all, from our different perspectives, saw our neighborhood: the gocd, the bad, the things that we wanted to see changed. We also wrote down! which I found very interesting, what do you want to make sure gets mentioned here, that if you didn't mention, no one else would. So that allowed people to say things like "trash pick -up" and being concerned about some redlining, and some negative things like that that people don't want to say because they don't want to step on toes. That really kind of b e the ice and allowed us to come togather as a cohesive group and really worc together to get this process. In addLtion to that, we want to mention that the City has been very supportive of us. May Dr Kernan and his staff members, and, of murse, Dave Norris, as was mentioned earlier, were always there and available to us. Many mailings, lots of meetings, you know, early morning, late at night, and so we've just really worked hand tog ther. I guess what I can't emphasize ens gh is that every effort was made to inc ude anyone interested in this p . We even had a chart laid out. There were circles and squares. There was a time when board members met and made decisions. And then at the general meetings in the evening, we had it up for a vote. We allowed the general mend)ership to discuss issues and the board members voted, the general 'p voted, and we all came together and decided on Plan A and Plan B for the West Washington - Chapin area. I wan to go ahead and read something beQ use in addition to the efforts that Car mentioned about doing the rel tion, I want to make sure that you that we are concerned also with what is c oing on with the people in the neiOiborhood.
