7. <br />s . <br />of co m fission <br />Meeting - January 3, 1989 <br />Mrs. Kc lata noted that the Cmmnission PROGRESS REPORTS <br />began 1988 with the sale of the tax <br />increment financing revenue bond. We <br />were successful in getting legislation <br />passed in Indianapolis that helped <br />protect the T.I.F. program. We were the <br />first c ity in Indiana to use the <br />Redevelopment Authority legislation in <br />the refinancing of the Coveleski Stadium <br />and for the financing of the St. <br />Joseph/Wayne Parking Facility. <br />Mrs. Kclata observed that 1988 had been <br />a good year for the Coamission and that <br />we would look forward to the challenges <br />of 1989. We should see the cxapletion <br />of the St. Joseph/Wayne parking garage; <br />the construction of two new office <br />buildings and a 200 -unit apartment <br />complex on the East Bank; the passage of <br />the Studebaker Corridor bond issue; and <br />re=miendations for the use of the <br />Robertson's Building and State T17ieatre. <br />The ne Regular Commission Meeting will NEXT CESSION MEETIW <br />be Janu 13, 1989 at 10:00 a.m. <br />There <br />before <br />Redeve <br />made a <br />Mr. Co <br />meetin <br />Ang no further business to come ADJOURNMEW <br />he Organizational Meeting of the <br />Vment Ccsmnission, Mr. Doncho <br />notion to adjourn the meeting. <br />is seconded the motion and the <br />was adjourned at 10:15. <br />President Ann Eolata, I <br />-4- <br />
