South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - June 26, 1987 <br />7. PROGRESS REPORTS (font.) <br />Mr. Hunt noted that discussions with <br />developers interested in building in downtown <br />South Bend repeatedly include discussion <br />about i9at we can do to provide parking. He <br />noted that we have been looking at the St. <br />Joseph St. /Wayne Street corner as a potential <br />site for a parking garage. It is critical <br />that this be built within the next 12 months <br />to remain ahead of the development curve. He <br />mentio ed some other options we are looking <br />into for the long term. <br />Mr. Hwit expressed appreciation to MACOG for <br />their efforts in completing this study and <br />indicated that it would be the basis for <br />planning recommendations the Department would <br />make to the community. <br />8. NEXT CGMMISSION MEETING <br />The next Regular Meeting of the Redevelopment <br />Commission will be July 10, 1987 at 10:00 <br />a.m. <br />0 <br />Mr. N' tz announced that the Executive <br />Sessior of the Commission would reconvene <br />immediately after the adjournment of the <br />Regulai Session. <br />There heing no further business to cone <br />before the Commission, Mr. Combs made a <br />motion that the meeting be adjourned. It was <br />seconded by Mr. Piasecki and unanimously <br />carried. The meeting was adjourned at 11 :05 <br />a.m. <br />ident <br />-14- <br />.
