NEW BUSINESS <br />a. Introduction of Carter Wolf, Director <br />Le <br />ter City Associates, Inc. <br />Mr. Wolf was not able to attend the <br />me ting and will be introduced at another <br />ti e. <br />mission action on proposal for parcels <br />1 and C9 -2 in the South Bend Central <br />elopment Area. <br />Mr. Hunt explained that these parcels, <br />located along Western Avenue between Main <br />St eet and Michigan Street, were put up <br />fox bid in August, 1986. The total area <br />of the parcels is 59,000 s.f. There were <br />no bids on either parcel at that time. <br />Th lot is currently being used for <br />pa king by employees of One Michiana <br />Sa are. <br />We have now received an offer from <br />Michigan-Western-Holladay Partnership for <br />the purchase of these lots,.contingent <br />up n their ability to attract a tenant <br />whc has inquired about a build -to -suit <br />lease. Mr. Phair explained that the <br />interested party is a financial services <br />firm, planning to hire approximately 100 <br />em loyees from the area. They are <br />interested in a two -story building with <br />adequate parking for all of their <br />em loyees. The building would be 30,000 <br />s. f. Mr. Phair showed a preliminary <br />drawing of the proposed building. <br />Holladay Corporation is making a proposal <br />to the company and must control the land <br />fox] the company to consider the site. <br />
