Continued... <br />Ms. Baumgartner noted that they got a <br />sec nd opinion on the furnace replacement <br />for Erasmo /Kimberly Chairez and it was <br />the consensus that it needed replacing. <br />Upor a motion by Mr. Piasecki, seconded <br />by Mr. Combs and unanimously carried, the <br />ComN.ission approved the proposals and <br />grants in connection with the Emergency <br />Repair Program listed above. <br />b. Commission approval.requested for a <br />clean-u2 rant in connection with the <br />Affordable Loan Program in accordance <br />with the recommendation from the Bureau <br />of Housina. <br />N <br />Arm e Powell <br />730 E. Broadway <br />Contractor <br />COMMISSION APPROVED PROPOSALS <br />AND GRANTS IN CONNECTION WITH <br />THE EMERGENCY REPAIR PROGRAM <br />AS LISTED ABOVE <br />Proposal /Grant <br />Townsend Construction Co. $ 1,430.00 <br />Ms. Baumgartner noted that the Legal <br />Dep rtment is pursuing collection from <br />the former contractor, Bockaj, who has <br />aone out of business. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Auburn, seconded by <br />Mr. Combs and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the clean -up grant in <br />connection with the Affordable Loan <br />Pro ram as listed above. <br />C. Commission approval requested for a <br />contract with the Architecture and <br />Planning Research Laboratory, The <br />University of Michigan for a feasibility <br />study in the Studebaker Corridor <br />t Area. <br />Mr. Hunt explained that this is another <br />step in redevelopment of the Studebaker <br />Corridor. The Architecture and Planning <br />Research Laboratory of the University of <br />Michigan specializes in researching older <br />larg industrial complexes. They have <br />anal zed 'major plant complexes across the <br />COMMISSION APPROVED A CLEAN - <br />UP GRANT IN CONNECTION WITH THE <br />AFFORDABLE LOAN PROGRAM AS <br />LISTED ABOVE <br />
