Comdnission approval requested for a <br />in onnection with the Homestead /So <br />Homo Improvement Loan Program in accordance <br />with the recommendation from the Bureau of <br />Contractor <br />Che ter Baldwin Townsend Construction <br />182P S. Brookfield <br />Mrs Kolata explained that there was a base <br />cost estimate prepared and then an addendum. <br />A comparison sheet was prepared comparing the <br />four bids received with only a portion of the <br />addendum being considered for approval. <br />Mr. Piasecki noted that the smoke detectors <br />were not noted in the proposal. Mr. Leverman <br />stated that he will follow -up and assure that <br />the required smoke detectors are installed. <br />Upon .a motion made by Mr. Piasecki, seconded <br />by Mr. Combs and unanimously carried, the <br />Comnission approved a proposal in connection <br />with the Homestead /South Bend Home Improvement <br />Loah Program as listed above. <br />d. Comnission a roval requested for Resolution <br />No. 783 redeclaring the Rum Village Industrial <br />Park to be blighted, expanding the boundaries <br />of the area, declaring the expansion area to <br />be blighted, expanding the allocation area for <br />ur ses of tax incremental financing and <br />rea nrovina the development plan. <br />Mrs Kolata stated that the Commission <br />declared the Rum Village Industrial Park to be <br />a Redevelopment area in 1981 being confirmed <br />in early 1982. The staff is requesting that a <br />sma 1 area at the north corner of the <br />bo daries be added. This is the existing <br />Mas is Corporation plant facility.
