Continued... <br />petition and ordinance for vacation of streets <br />and alleys within the South Bend Central <br />Development Area. <br />b. Cmuission authorization and ratification <br />requested for filing of a petition to the <br />Board of Zoning Appeals for interpretation of <br />certain zoning matters within the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. <br />Mrs. Kolata explained that there are certain <br />issues that need to go before the Board of <br />Zoning Appeals related to the Stanley <br />Cove eski Regional Stadium to be constructed <br />on land currently owned by Redevelopment. The <br />staff is asking that a petition be filed with <br />the Board of Zoning Appeals. One of the <br />issues to be addresssed is necessitated by the <br />lack of a zoning category for stadiums. <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Auburn, seconded by <br />Mr. Combs and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission authorized and ratified the request <br />for Eiling of a petition to the Board of <br />Zoning Appeals for interpretation of certain <br />zoni g matters within the South Bend Central <br />Development Area. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />a. CommLssion approval requested for Amendment to <br />Contract for Sale of Land between South Bend <br />Rede elo nt Commission and South Bend Public <br />Transportation Corporation. <br />Mrs. Kolata explained that an agreement was <br />reac ed with TRANSPO related to the <br />development of their downtown transfer center. <br />The Amended Contract for Sale of Land <br />inco rates changes previously argreed to in <br />the Joint Resolution in February 1986.
