PROGRESS REPORTS (Cont.) <br />Mr. David Hab stated that there are <br />applica ion blanks available for anyone <br />interest ed in joining CCA. The membership fee <br />is $1.0 per day. <br />Mr. Hunt. reported that bids will be awarded <br />for the re- opening of Michigan Street on March <br />18th. Construction will begin as soon as <br />possible thereafter weather permitting. There <br />will also be meetings held with the merchants <br />to devi e a construction plan that will be the <br />least d Isruptive for their businesses. <br />Mrs. Ko ata reported that the Signature Group <br />has its grand opening for a Telemarketing <br />Center in Monroe Park. The Telemarketing <br />Center Will create approximately 300 new <br />permanent jobs and are supportive of hiring <br />South Bend employees. The Center will be one <br />of the most advanced telemarketing centers in <br />the countrv. <br />Mr. Ni z noted that there was an error in the <br />printing of the legal notice concerning the <br />financing of the baseball stadium project. <br />The South Bend Tribune had apologized for the <br />error, but it was imported that Redevelopment <br />or the Legal Department was responsible for <br />that error, and it was an error on the part of <br />Tribune leaving out a paragraph of the notice. <br />8.
