This policy applies to <br />any acquisitions within the South Bend Central <br />Dev foment Area. <br />Mrs Kolata noted a correction in paragraph <br />I(A ) stating 'owners who occupy their <br />properties before acquisition by the City will <br />be allowed a.60 day adjustment period ", not a <br />60-90 day adjustment period. <br />Upom a motion made by Mr. Piasecki, seconded <br />by Mr. Combs and unanimously carried, the <br />Conimission approved and adopted the "Policy of <br />Management of Acquired Property" for the South <br />Bend Central Development Area with the noted <br />d. Report on L. Keen building bid <br />Mrs Kolata reported that no bids were <br />received at the L. Keen building bid opening <br />on December 2, 1985. About an hour after the <br />bid opening deadline, someone interested in <br />the building did pick up a bid packet. The <br />staff will be contacting individuals who were <br />interested in the past in purchasing the <br />building, and try to find someone to develop <br />the building in a way that is appropriate for <br />the area. Due to State law, the Commission is <br />allowed to negotiate on the sale of the <br />building. For at least 90 days, the <br />CormLission must offer the building at the <br />minimum purchase price. If there are no <br />acc ptable proposals after that 90 day period, <br />ther. the Commission can consider an offer for <br />less than the minimum purchase price.
