NEW <br />C. <br />e. <br />nd <br />Redevelopment Commission <br />Meeting <br />- June 14, 1985 <br />BUSINESS <br />( font . ) <br />approval requested for Proclaimer <br />Commission <br />Certificate <br />No. 1 relative to establishment of <br />fair <br />market value of property to be acquired <br />in <br />the South Bend Central Development Area. <br />Mrs <br />Kolata explained that Proclaimer <br />Ce <br />ificate No. 1 sets the acquisition price <br />for <br />a number of parcels of land that were <br />included <br />on the acquisition list as part of <br />the <br />development plan attached to Resolution <br />No. <br />737. The properties to be acquired <br />include <br />the State Theater, the lot between the <br />JMS <br />building and Colfax parking garage, the <br />Bae <br />s building, and the lot at the corner of <br />Main <br />and Western. It also sets the price for <br />a n <br />r of vacant residential lots in the <br />Mo <br />oe- Sample area for the purposes of infill <br />housing. <br />Upon <br />a motion made by Ms. Auburn, seconded by <br />Mr. <br />Donoho and unanimously carried, the <br />Comftission <br />approved Proclaimer Certificate No. <br />1 relative <br />to establishment of fair market <br />value <br />of property to be acquired in the South <br />Bend <br />Central Development Area. <br />Commission <br />approval requested for Resolution <br />No. <br />741 relating to acquisition of property by <br />condemnation <br />in the South Bend Central <br />Development <br />Area. <br />Kolata explained that Resolution No. 741 <br />Mrs <br />authorizes <br />the staff to send a purchase offer <br />which <br />is a final offer, giving the property <br />owners <br />30 days in which to respond or then the <br />staff <br />will proceed to condemnation.
