The contract is being rebid to obtain a new con ractor to complete the contract. Upon a motion made by Ms. Auburn, seconded by Mr. Combs and unanimously carried, the Co 'ssion approved a proposal in connection wi the Section 312 Loan Program as listed abo e. Mr. Hun reported that bids for the L. Keen Building in Monroe Park will be received and opened on March 25, 1985 at 10:00 a.m. The schedule for bid presentations to the staff and Cominission will tentatively be held April 12th. A staff recommendation on the bid award is targ ted for April 26, 1985. The TRARSPO issue was brought up for general discussion by the media representatives and general public present at the meeting. Mr. Nimtz commented that the Redevelopment Commission is communicating and negotiating with al the parties concerned about the locatio of TRANSPO in order to find for the best too Bible solution. Ms. Sch artz stated that a notice of default was sent to TRANSPO last summer. Mrs. Janet Allen raised a question on TRANSPO's default with the Redevelopment Commission and TRANSPO's possible loss of federal funding for the project. Mr. Hunt explained that the problem arose because TRANSPO changed the design and scale of the proposed project without consulting with the Redevelopment Commission. There also was an greement reached on a timetable for state oE construction of the project. The lapse oE time on development is a technical default of the agreement between the Connniss'on and TRANSPO. Mr. Hunt stated that TRANSPO has never represented to the Commisson that they had a loss of federal funding i for the project. -4- COMMISSION APPROVED A PROPOSAL IN CONNECTION WITH THE SECTION 312 LOAN PROGRAM AS LISTED ABOVE PROGRESS REPORTS
