Continued... <br />being resolved privately by the individuals. <br />The contract is being rebid to obtain a new <br />con ractor to complete the contract. <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Auburn, seconded by <br />Mr. Combs and unanimously carried, the <br />Co 'ssion approved a proposal in connection <br />wi the Section 312 Loan Program as listed <br />abo e. <br />Mr. Hun reported that bids for the L. Keen <br />Building in Monroe Park will be received and <br />opened on March 25, 1985 at 10:00 a.m. The <br />schedule for bid presentations to the staff <br />and Cominission will tentatively be held April <br />12th. A staff recommendation on the bid award <br />is targ ted for April 26, 1985. <br />The TRARSPO issue was brought up for general <br />discussion by the media representatives and <br />general public present at the meeting. Mr. <br />Nimtz commented that the Redevelopment <br />Commission is communicating and negotiating <br />with al the parties concerned about the <br />locatio of TRANSPO in order to find for the <br />best too Bible solution. <br />Ms. Sch artz stated that a notice of default <br />was sent to TRANSPO last summer. <br />Mrs. Janet Allen raised a question on <br />TRANSPO's default with the Redevelopment <br />Commission and TRANSPO's possible loss of <br />federal funding for the project. <br />Mr. Hunt explained that the problem arose <br />because TRANSPO changed the design and scale <br />of the proposed project without consulting <br />with the Redevelopment Commission. There also <br />was an greement reached on a timetable for <br />state oE construction of the project. The <br />lapse oE time on development is a technical <br />default of the agreement between the <br />Connniss'on and TRANSPO.
