Lontinuea... <br />ct to approval of the Design Review <br />ttee as is any development on property <br />by the Redevelopment Commission. The <br />resolution also provides that until the <br />ruction begins the Board may lease the <br />rty to a not - for - profit for use as a <br />na lot. <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Auburn, seconded by <br />Mr. Donoho and unanimously carried, the <br />Corimission authorized a Joint Resolution No. <br />10-1984 with the Board of Public Works setting <br />foith terms and conditions for the development <br />of certain real property within the Central <br />Do town Urban Development Area. <br />Mr. Hurt presented a staff report on the <br />progress of industrial /commercial projects <br />within Monroe Park. The report noted that <br />there are four new buildings and one <br />rehabilitation totaling approximately $1.8 <br />million. Projected over the next eighteen <br />months is an additional investment of $3.3 <br />millior. involving construction of six <br />buildi gs. The number of new jobs created to <br />date is approximately 150. The projections <br />show another 90 new jobs to be created with <br />the additional building. There have been <br />appoximately 50 jobs retained. <br />Mr. Hunt reported that the Monroe Park truck <br />access route has been staked out by the <br />Department of Engineering on the property just <br />south cf Curtis Products off of Fellows <br />Street. A refined cost estimate is being <br />preparod by Engineering. <br />Mr. Ron Radecki brought up some concerns to <br />the Commission regarding the Studebaker Museum <br />Collection. He made the point that every <br />downtown planning report since 1966 <br />recommended that the Studebaker Museum be <br />developed downtown. Mr. Radecki stated that <br />he has contacted two local architectural firms <br />contracted by the Commission to come up with <br />plans for the 100 and 200 blocks of South <br />Em <br />AUTHORIZATION OF JOINT <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10 -1984 WITH <br />THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />SETTING FORTH TERMS AND <br />CONDITIONS FOR THE DEVELOP- <br />MENT OF CERTAIN REAL ESTATE <br />PROPERTY WITHIN THE CENTRAL <br />DOWNTOWN URBAN DEVELOPMENT <br />AREA <br />PROGRESS REPORTS <br />
