Uontinuea... <br />Tom <br />Downtown Urban Renewal Area in the <br />of $44,000 was accepted with the <br />ons as designated by the Comnni.ssion's <br />action requested for dedication of <br />ve No. 2 to the City of South <br />Mr. Hunt asked that this item be continued <br />until the next meeting. There were no <br />obj ctions heard. Item 6b was continued to <br />the next meeting. <br />c. Report on proposals received for Disposition <br />Parcels 5 and 7 in the Monroe Sample <br />Dev loT -tent Area. <br />Mrs Kolata explained the Commission has <br />received a proposal from Park Point Associates <br />for Disposition Parcels 5 and 7 in the Monroe <br />S le Development Area. Park Point <br />Associates proposed the contruction of three <br />buildings. She stated that Park Point <br />Associates submitted a bid in the amount <br />$9,530 for Parcel 5 and $9,065 for Parcel 7 <br />which was approximately half the minimum bid <br />pride primarily due to the cost involved in <br />the demolition of Franklin School on an <br />adjoining property. The properties were put <br />up for bid last year and there were no bids <br />received at that time. <br />The chair recognized Mr. Tom Gibson <br />representing the Holladay Corporation. Mr. <br />Gibson explained that the Park Point project <br />will be a combination of office, warehouse and <br />industrial space. The first building will be <br />approximately 30,000 square feet, the second <br />building approximately 8,000 square feet, and <br />the third building will be approximately <br />30, 00 square feet. Construction on the first <br />building is expected to start in approximately <br />30- 0 days, the construction of the second <br />building is expected to begin in the summer of <br />1984 and the third building is expected to <br />begin construction the spring of 1985. Also, <br />it was stated that demolition of Franklin <br />Sch of will begin prior to September 1, 1984. <br />-4- <br />ITEM 6b CONTINUED TO NEXT <br />MEETING <br />
