Report on bid opening of February 21, 1984, <br />relative to Disposition Parcels 4 -67 and 4 -68 <br />in the Central Downtown Urban Renewal Area. <br />Mrs Kolata gave a report of the bid opening <br />of Tuesday, February 21, 1984 for Parcels 4 -67 <br />and 4 -68 in the Central Downtown Urban Renewal <br />Area. The minimum bid amount was $42,107.00. <br />One bid was received from Teachers Credit <br />Union in the amount of $44,000.00. Teachers <br />Credit Union has proposed to constuct a six <br />stoiy office building containing approximately <br />71, 00 square feet. The office would be used <br />for the office operations of the Credit Union. <br />The proposed groundbreaking is for September <br />1, 1984 with construction to be completed by <br />app oximately September 1, 1986. Mrs. Kolata <br />explained that there is one outstanding matter <br />that needs to be resolved concerning removal <br />of two basement walls of the old Odd Fellows <br />Building. <br />Ms. Schwartz stated that the bid, as <br />advertised, had several possible options for <br />any bidder concerning the availability of <br />leasing parking spaces from the City, the <br />possibility of an easement to permit access <br />for loading on the site to provide for better <br />utilization of the site itself, and the <br />pos ibility of vacation of alleys.
