No <br />So th Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Re ular Meeting - May 27, 1983 <br />BUSINESS <br />1. Upon a motion made by Mr. Robinson and moved <br />by Mr. Piasecki and was unanimously carried. <br />Authorization to publish Notice of Intended <br />Sale was approved. <br />m. Commission approval requested for Proclaimer <br />Certificate No. 3 in the East Bank Develop- <br />ment Area. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Robinson and seconded <br />by Mr. Piasecki that the staff be authorized <br />and directed to proceed with acquisition parcel <br />No. 3 -4 in the East Bank Development Area was <br />unanimously carried. <br />n. Commission approval requested to seek proposals <br />for relocation of a building currently located <br />at 115 N. Niles Avenue. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Piasecki and seconded <br />by Mr.rRobinson and',.unanimously carried the <br />request -to seek proposals:wa.s approved. <br />o. Commission authorization requested to enter <br />into an agreement with the South Bend Community <br />School Corporation for analysis of vacant school <br />buildings. <br />Mr. Hunt stated that what Redevelopment was <br />suggesting is that the proposed contract is a <br />joint effort by the school corporation and the <br />Redevelopment Commission to examine each one of <br />those buildings and look at the economic and <br />financial market feasibility of reuse and the best <br />use for the neighborhood. He also said that we <br />were being brought on only in a staff capacity, <br />and the ultimate decision making will be with the <br />School Corporation. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Robinson and moved by <br />Mr. Piasecki and unanimously carried, the agree- <br />ment with the South Bend Community School Corpora- <br />tion °xT.as approved. <br />p. Commission ap <br />Martin E. and <br />south of the <br />proval requested for a lease with <br />Carol P. Fefferman for property <br />Colfax Parking Garage. <br />Mr. Hunt explained that we were entering a year <br />lease for a $1.00 a year with a 30 -day cancellation <br />clause with Martin E. and Carol P. Fefferman. <br />Mr. Fefferman has agreed to lease it to us for a <br />$1.00 a year. we will be taking care of the <br />improvements on the property. <br />2FL <br />
