No So th Bend Redevelopment Commission Re ular Meeting - May 27, 1983 BUSINESS 1. Upon a motion made by Mr. Robinson and moved by Mr. Piasecki and was unanimously carried. Authorization to publish Notice of Intended Sale was approved. m. Commission approval requested for Proclaimer Certificate No. 3 in the East Bank Develop- ment Area. Upon a motion made by Mr. Robinson and seconded by Mr. Piasecki that the staff be authorized and directed to proceed with acquisition parcel No. 3 -4 in the East Bank Development Area was unanimously carried. n. Commission approval requested to seek proposals for relocation of a building currently located at 115 N. Niles Avenue. Upon a motion made by Mr. Piasecki and seconded by Mr.rRobinson and',.unanimously carried the request -to seek proposals:wa.s approved. o. Commission authorization requested to enter into an agreement with the South Bend Community School Corporation for analysis of vacant school buildings. Mr. Hunt stated that what Redevelopment was suggesting is that the proposed contract is a joint effort by the school corporation and the Redevelopment Commission to examine each one of those buildings and look at the economic and financial market feasibility of reuse and the best use for the neighborhood. He also said that we were being brought on only in a staff capacity, and the ultimate decision making will be with the School Corporation. Upon a motion made by Mr. Robinson and moved by Mr. Piasecki and unanimously carried, the agree- ment with the South Bend Community School Corpora- tion °xT.as approved. p. Commission ap Martin E. and south of the proval requested for a lease with Carol P. Fefferman for property Colfax Parking Garage. Mr. Hunt explained that we were entering a year lease for a $1.00 a year with a 30 -day cancellation clause with Martin E. and Carol P. Fefferman. Mr. Fefferman has agreed to lease it to us for a $1.00 a year. we will be taking care of the improvements on the property. 2FL
