Cont'nued... <br />Mr. <br />qimtz stated that it had been moved and <br />seco <br />ded that all bids be rejected concerning <br />the <br />Rehabilitation Loan for Nannie Smith at <br />1137 <br />W. Jefferson. It was unanimously carries <br />and <br />all the bids were rejected and the order <br />was <br />given to rebid. <br />Mr. <br />Nintz stated the Chair appreciated all of <br />comments <br />and discussions and he felt they had <br />good <br />airing and display of democracy and all <br />were <br />represented. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />approval requested for Resolution <br />a. ComLssion <br />No. 1578 <br />redeclaring the East Bank Development <br />Area <br />to be blighted and amending the Develop- <br />ment <br />Plan. <br />Mrs. <br />Kolata explained that the resolution wil. <br />amenl <br />the development plan and add Parcel 3 -4 <br />to tie <br />acquisition list. We have already pur- <br />chased <br />a small strip of Parcel: 3 -4 along .the <br />The <br />unendment to the plan would be that we ac- <br />quire <br />the remainder of thas.parcel and acquit, <br />blue <br />metal building just north of the East Bay <br />Emporium. <br />Upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Robinson, seconded ] <br />Mr. <br />Donaldson and unanimously carried, Resolu- <br />No. <br />678 concerning the East Bank Development <br />was <br />approved. <br />b. ComiuLssion <br />approval requested for a lease wit] <br />the <br />City of South Bend, Department of Public <br />Park.s <br />for a building at 345 Hydraulic Avenue. <br />Mrs. <br />Kolata explained that this is an on goin( <br />lease <br />with a 30 day cancellation privilege on <br />the <br />rt of the Commission and also the Park <br />Dep <br />ent.
