12
To: Elicia Feasel <efeasel@southbendin.gov>
Cc: Adam Toering <atoering@southbendin.gov>
Subject: RE: 713 W. LaSalle Ae. South Bend

Good Afternoon Elicia,

Sorry it’s taken me a while to get back to you. Please see our revised scope of work
attached. What’s changed is:

On page 4 we changed the porch , sides A and D, option from enclosure with
plywood to replacement with a similar tongue and groove flooring.
Also on page 4 we are now spec’ing to strip the friction and impact surfaces of
all 5 exterior doors as opposed to replacing them.
On page 7 we have added an option to remove all paint from the porch on sides
A and D.
On page 8 we have added an option to strip 32 of the windows and install white
vinyl jamb liners. This spec has been approved the historic preservation society
on another historic home in

At the bottom I have listed 4 scenarios with an estimated cost. Our preference, that we
think the HPC would approve, would be option 1, though it does put us close to the
deferral threshold of $120,000. I will also need to get the homeowners approval.

I would like to get the HPC’s tentative approval prior to getting the homeowners
approval and then bidding this out. Do you have any questions? What would be the next
step?

Thank you,

Justin Tyrrell
Manager of Lead Programs
Indiana Community Action Association
1845 W. 18th Street
Indianapolis, IN 46202
Phone: 317‐638‐4232

From: Elicia Feasel [mailto:efeasel@southbendin.gov]
Sent: Thursday, December 12, 2019 9:58 AM
To: Justin Tyrrell <jtyrrell@incap.org>
Cc: Adam Toering <atoering@southbendin.gov>
Subject: RE: 713 W.
