Friday June loth, 19.04• The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. All members present. In the. matter ,of the Howard street cement wakk under Improvement Resolution No. 1795 Whereas it appears that there in an irregularity in the printed notices for the receiving of bids under this `resolution, be it resolved that the bids to be received at 10 a. m. this day be a 11 rejected and be it further resolved that this board will re -eive b ids icr this work up to 10 a. m. on the 22nd day of June 1904, and that noticesof this receiving of said b ids shall be published in the South Bend Daily Times and the. South Bend Daily Tribune on the 11th day of June and the 18th day of June 1904. Petition filed for Pipe Sewer and Asphalt Pavement on Robertson street from Prairie avenue to Chapin street. Petition filed byOwners of lots fronting on alley east of Michigan street between Division street and Mayne street _ for Grade & Brick Pavement. Referred to Engineer for Specifications. Contractors Bond of Henri DeVos & Co filed and approved. Bond of Frederick Schafer as Water Works Superintendent filed and approved. Engineer reported grade on Milton street. Same was approved. IMPROVE'ENT RESOLUTION N0. 192. Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That an improvement be made of the kind, size, location and terminal points as follows: Vassar Avenue from Portage avenue to the alley west of Allen street, by grading the street the full width of the roadway and construction cement curbing and cement sidewalks on both sides of the street.. Said. Improvement shall be known and designated as Vassar Avenue €trade, Curb & Talk and .shall be constructed according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of this resolution and proposals forbids for the execution of the above work shall be published on the 13th day of June and on the 20th day of June, 1904, in the South Bend Daily Times and the South Bend Daily Tribune. This Board will give a hearin6 on this resolution at its office in the City Hall on the 28tY day of June, 1904 at 7:15 P. M. and wi,-11 receive bids up to 10 A.
