788 <br />01 <br />The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. All members pre sent. <br />Petition filed for Brick pavement on East Monroe street from Michigan street <br />to Vistula avenue. <br />Petition filed for Pipe Sewer on Osborne street from Vistula avenue ' to the <br />end of Osborne street. Referred to engineer for specificetions. <br />M. S. Rogers was awarded the contract for Howard street Walks. <br />The Board adopted a resolution directing that the plans and specifications <br />adopted for the improvement of Vistula avenue from Miami street to Leer street k,u 0"1 I <br />be amended so as to provide for a thirty eight (38) foot roadway, in place of <br />Thirty five (35) feet. as called for. <br />Bond .of L. H. Webster on the Portage avenue Pipe Sewer and Bartlett street <br />Pipe Sewer was)released. <br />Bond of Defrees & Byrer on Brick pavement in alleys South of Jefferson street <br />was released. <br />Clerk instructed to advertise for Bids for sewer and water connections on <br />Ohio street from Michigan atreet to Carroll street, also sewer and water connections <br />on Vistula avenue from Miami street to Leer street. Bids to be received up to <br />10 A. I+I!, on the 8t h day of July;- .1904. <br />Hearing on the confirmation of the resolution for the brick pavement on <br />Vistula avenue under improvement resolution +190 postponed from June 21st, 1904, <br />No additional remonstrances were filed and no remonstrators appear`d. The board <br />find that the plans and specifications adopted for the improvement of _Vistula avenue <br />from Miami to Leet street under this resolution should be amended so as to provide <br />for a 38 feet roadway in place of a 35 foot as called for, and said plant and <br />specifications are now amended to so provide for a 38 foot roadway. And the Board <br />further findsthat the benefits to the property affected and to the City of South <br />Bend is equal to the expense of the said improvement and said resolution is in <br />all things ratified confirmed and approved. <br />The Engineer filed his estimated cost of the Improvement as follows; - <br />Vistula avenue Brick pavement --------------- t11718.00 <br />t,0- X�L President. <br />
