Comm ssion approval requested for awarding of a proposal in con- <br />nect on with the South Bend Home Improvement Loan Program in <br />acco dance with recomendation of the Bureau of Housing. <br />Mrs. Baumgartner explained that Michiana Remodeling was the lowest <br />bidder on two of the Proposals. Michiana Remodeling is new with <br />the Bureau of Housing and has three contracts that they have just <br />begur and for that reason I am requesting that we not award them <br />any lurther contracts until we have had an opportunity to rate <br />theiy performance. Upon a motion made by Ms. Auburn, seconded by <br />Mr. ira and unanimously carried, the propsals connected with the <br />Sout Bend Home Improvement Loan Program were approved. <br />e. Comm ssion a <br />corm coon w <br />Home tead Pr <br />of H using. <br />roval requested for awarding of a proposal in <br />the South Bend Home Improvement Loan Program and <br />ram in accordance with recommendation of the Bureau <br />Upon motion made by Mr. Cira, seconded by Ms. Auburn and <br />unanimously carried, the proposal in connection with the South <br />Bend Home Improvement Loan Program was approved. <br />f. Commission approval requested for the following_ commercial lease <br />in t e East Bank Development Area. <br />Mr. McMahon explained that this proposed lease is for the property <br />occu ied by Standard Mechanical Contractors Incorporated, at 345 <br />Hydr alic Avenue in the amount of $1,600 per month. This is <br />consistent with previous lease payments made on the property. The <br />first payment date is February 1, 1982. It should be noted that <br />the lease payments will be placed in an escrow fund and should the <br />company choose to relocate within the City of South Bend the lease <br />payments will be refunded to Standard Mechanical. Upon motion <br />made by Ms. Auburn, seconded by Mr..Cira and unanimously carried, <br />the lease with Standard Mechanical was approved. <br />G. Commission approval requested for Resolution Number 648 amending <br />the Monroe- Sample Plan. <br />Mr. McMahon explained that we are revising the Monroe - Sample <br />Development Plan to expand the Design Review Committee to seven <br />members so that we might have broader representation on that <br />Committee. That is the only modification that is represented by <br />this plan amendment.
