South Bed Redevelopment Commission <br />Special eeting - December 9, 1981 <br />e. (Continued) <br />pon motion made by Mr. Cira, seconded by <br />r. Robinson and unanimously carried the <br />roposals in connection with the South <br />end Home Improvement Loan Program and <br />omestead Program were awarded in accord - <br />nce with the recommendation of the <br />ureau of Housing. <br />5. PROOESS REPORTS <br />Mr. IcMahon stated that at the next Commission <br />meeting we will be declaring the ethanol area <br />a re evelopment area for purposes of tax incre- <br />mental financing. <br />He also explained that the staff has been working <br />on modifying the tax abatement ordinance to in- <br />corporate into it the provisions of the new state <br />statute that allow for abatement on tangible per- <br />sonal property which is basically machinery and <br />equi went. This revision to the ordinance will <br />now De filed with the Common Council. <br />Mr. onaldson stated that the County Health De- <br />part ent was having problems with some of the <br />contractors handling Monroe - Sample demolitions <br />dumping debris in unapproved sites. Mr. McMahon <br />stat d that he would talk to the Neighborhood <br />Code Enforcement Office about requiring written <br />appr val of the dumping site by the Health Depart- <br />ment before future contracts would be awarded. <br />6. NEXTICOMMISSION MEETING <br />PROPOSALS AWARDED IN CON- <br />NECTION WITH THE SOUTH BEND <br />HOME IMPROVEMENT LOAN PRO - <br />GRAM AND HOMESTEAD PROGRAM. <br />The iext regularly scheduled South Bend Redeve- <br />lopm nt Commission meeting will be held on Decem- NEXT COMMISSION MEETING <br />ber 18, 1981. The exact time of the meeting will <br />be a nounced later. <br />7. ADJOURNMENT <br />Ther2 being no further business to come before the <br />Commission, Mr. Robinson made a motion that the ADJOURNMENT <br />meeting be adjourned.
