OLD BUSINESS (continued) <br />a. continued... <br />tak n place, but we have not had any problem meet - <br />ing with the residents as reflected:by the fact that <br />we a e moving very quickly on those properties. <br />Ann Kolata highlighted the aspects of the contract <br />with Historic Landmarks Foundation. Historic Land- <br />marks will be identifying those houses recommended <br />for moving, specific locations north of Bronson <br />Street that those houses should be moved to. They <br />are going to be providing designs for new construc- <br />tiori that would be compatible with the existing <br />architecture in the neighborhood, and are going to <br />recommend some exterior rehabilitation for existing <br />houses. <br />A second portion of their program will be to provide <br />a marketing brochure promoting the residential neigh- <br />borhood. The information on design and house moving <br />wil be complete by the end of October, and the bro- <br />chure will be completed by the end of the year. <br />Their total compensation is $5,500.00. <br />Mr. Nimtz is on the board of Historic Landmarks Foun- <br />dation of Indiana so he disqualified himself and <br />pla ed Vice President Robinson in the chair. <br />Ms. Auburn stated a concern about the status of the <br />office in the Monroe- Sample area. <br />Mr. McMahon stated that -e had hoped to open the office <br />in une, but were delayed until now. The temporary <br />office will open next week at 710 South Columbia Street. <br />Ms. Auburn stated that residents in that area should have <br />acc ss to any and all services that will help them in the <br />rel cation process. <br />Mr. <br />tan( <br />Ms. <br />and <br />not <br />McMahon explained that we soon plan to outline a <br />year plan for a housing program and housing assis- <br />e in the industrial area. <br />Auburn stated another concern about gentrification <br />hoped that the assistance we are going to give does <br />further displace low income people. <br />10 <br />
