South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Special Meeting - March 2, 1981 <br />7. NEW BUSINESS (continued) <br />c. Comnission acceptance of deed from City of South <br />BenJ for certain property related to Disposition <br />Par els 4 -1, 4 -31, and 4 -32 and related rant'of <br />eas meat. <br />Mr. McMahon presented a quit -claim deed from the <br />City of South Bend, through the Board of Public <br />Works, to the Department of Redevelopment for <br />portions of the State's right -of -way along St. <br />Joseph Street and Colfax Avenue where the First <br />Bank Center garage encroaches into the right- <br />of-way. The State previously had quit - claimed <br />that property to the Board of Public Works. The <br />Department of Redevelopment will now enter into <br />an easement agreement with RAHN Properties and <br />Firlst Bank. <br />Ms. Auburn made a motion to receive and accept <br />the delivery of the quit -claim deed from the <br />City of South Bend to the Department of Rede- <br />velopment, and to authorize the execution of <br />the easement agreement, subject to legal counsel <br />app oval. The motion was seconded by Mr. Donald- <br />son and unanimously carried. <br />Mr. <br />Ms. <br />Mr. <br />abo <br />Nimtz asked if there were any further questions. <br />Derbeck asked how much property is involved here. <br />McMahon replied that it is a very narrow strip, <br />it four and one -half or five feet wide. <br />8. PROGRESS REPORTS <br />Mr. McMahon said he had a lease agreement that he had <br />referreJ to Mr. Butler for revieâ–º4 with respect to an <br />automobile, and asked if it is in proper order to take <br />action Dn it this morning. <br />Mr. Butler replied that it was proper for action to be <br />taken. <br />Mr. McMahon then presented a lease for a passenger car <br />from Gu ley -Leep. The car is a four - cylinder Sky Lark <br />and leases for $211.50 per month. Mr. McMahon further <br />explained that Mr. Butler has reviewed the lease and <br />the Department has made provision for this in its budget. <br />-5- <br />
