1 <br /> CR-05 - Goals and Outcomes <br /> I Progress the jurisdiction has made in carrying out its strategic plan and its action plan. <br /> 91.520(a) <br /> This could be an overview that includes major initiatives and highlights that were proposed and <br /> I <br /> executed throughout the program year. <br /> ' During 2019, 128 South Bend households received help with housing issues: 35 owner-occupied rehabs, <br /> 16 first-time homebuyers, and 77 housing counseling clients. Low-mod income homeowners received <br /> needed repairs through the South Bend Home Improvement Program (SBHIP), the South Bend Pilot <br /> IHome Repair Program (SBPHRP), Rebuilding Together, and REAL Services' Aging in Place program. <br /> I The Community Homebuyers Corporation (CHC) assisted 15 low-mod income buyers purchase their first <br /> home. The Northeast Neighborhood Revitalization Organization (NNRO) assisted one low-mod income <br /> buyer purchase a home. <br /> The City of South Bend supported affordable housing through four major partners: South Bend Heritage <br /> Foundation (SBHF),the Near Northwest Neighborhood, Inc. (NNN), the NNRO, and Habitat for Humanity <br /> Iof St.Joseph County. <br /> ISBHF has developed affordable housing for the residents of South Bend for over 40 years. SBHF <br /> currently focuses its efforts in the Near West Side and Lincoln Park neighborhoods. In 2019 SBHF <br /> completed the following projects: <br /> • One (1) single-family home acquisition-rehab; <br /> • One (1) single-family new construction home. <br /> SBHF projects expected to be completed in 2020: <br /> I • Three (3)single-family acquisition-rehabs; <br /> • Two (2) single-family new construction homes; <br /> I • Six (6) rental unit rehabs; <br /> • Six (6) new construction rental units. <br /> IIIThe NNRO formed in 2000 to strengthen and revitalize South Bend's Northeast Neighborhood. In 2019 <br /> the NNRO completed the following projects: <br /> 1 • Two (2) single-family new construction homes; <br /> • One (1) mortgage subsidy. <br /> I <br /> ICAPER 1 <br /> OMB Control No:2506-0117(exp.06/30/2018) <br />
