South Bend edevelopment Commission
Regular Mee ing January 16, 1981
6. NEW BUSINESS
a. continued...
Ms. Derbeck: Does this mean that you are moving
ahead with the Monroe- Sample area?
Mr. McMahon: Jeanne, we have been moving ahead.
through the planning process for a number of months
now, This is an area that we are looking at, where
we ivant some basic information so that we can
evaluate how it relates to our overall plan. The plan is beginning to reveal itself
now as to what is to be done. It is moving forward,
but I don't want to give the impression that it has
been standing still because there has been a lot of
hours put in by staff and members of the Commission
and by the Mayor.
Ms. Derbeck: I just gather there is a little sense
of speed, you're giving the Abstract Company a few
extra days.
Mrs. Kolata: They never asked me for extra days.
When we asked for a bid, what we asked for was a
pri e and a time frame in which they could perform
thi obligation and they gave us that.
