These <br /> monies have been received by the South Bend Park Department and <br /> will be funded through the Zoo Endowment to be used exclusively <br /> for capital improvements to the Potawatomi Zoo. <br /> In accordance with the restrictions of the Dorothy Shanafelt <br /> Douglas Trust, these funds for 1994 total the amount of <br /> $11 ,450.04 and shall be appropriated for the following capital <br /> projects. To construct additional maintenance storage facility <br /> extending by an additional 40 feet including garage doors and <br /> tram train storage. <br /> The second project will be the Swan Lake Islands, renovating the <br /> lakes by draining and expanding the islands, including planting <br /> of willow trees, rebuild shoreline and the construction of a <br /> primate block house. <br /> This request comes before you to ask for your favorable vote. <br /> Thank you for your consideration on this ordinance. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> Phil St. C air <br /> Superintendent of Parks <br /> 301 S.
