Ellison continues... <br />We gave each person two choices. <br />Me choices were either to agree to <br />a regular payment schedule or quit <br />interest in the land and allow us to <br />recapture total control of it so that <br />we may dispose of it. We have worked <br />out the details with each one of the <br />adjoining owners. Thus, the fact that <br />we have sold land in the past on time <br />sales is not an impediment to the plan. <br />Me second thing we did was have a meeting <br />with the LaSalle District Council and <br />encouraged them to participate by <br />helping us identify and encourage as <br />wtny people from the neighborhood as <br />possible to attend those meetings. <br />During the course of both meetings we <br />axTlained the plan in some detail to <br />low an opportunity for input and <br />l estions from residents. As a result <br />:)f some of their concerns, the plan was <br />n dified in some ways before the <br />3 oduction of the final version you <br />e before you today. The staff has <br />r ceived a letter from LaSalle Park <br />until indicating general accord with <br />the plan and therefore would not expect <br />y citizen's reactions that would be <br />x verse, if the Commission agrees to <br />A.low us to implement the plan. <br />Finally, we have taken steps in the plan <br />Lo assure that each person who buys land <br />From us understands their obligations and <br />r obligations.
