South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular eting - May 16, 1980
FLOOR DISCUSSION (continued)
Mr. Ellison continues...
We ar working under HUD guidelines
right now.
Ms. rbeck: If you do hire Baird
& Warier, would you like to have them
look it the Odd Fellows situation also?
Mr. Cra: I think we have spent enough
money on it.
Mr. Ellison: I don't see any particular
need for that. We have had some expert
counsel from Nicholas C. Jannotta from the
standpoint of building economics and I
think we now have all the information we
need.
Ms. D rbeck: Will they be doing a study
of th Odd Fellows Building?
Ms. Ellison: That is possible, but they
are not specifically directed to look at
the Odd Fellows Building. But, if they
do happen to do that in their process, it
would be alright. I am uncertain if they
will 6r not.
Ms. rbeck: Would you anticipate having
an answer on the Odd Fellows Building by
your next meeting?
Mr. Ellison: There can be no assurance.
The interesting thing about economic
development is that it does not
necessarily march in time. It simply
marches to its own drummer. Therefore,
I can t give you a definite yes or no
answe .
8.
