South Bend
Regular Mee
6. NEW
elopment Commission
- June 20, 1980
g. conT-inuea....
Mr. Donaldson made a motion to COMMISSION APPROVAL
approve the negotiation and GRANTED FOR A CONTRACT
execution of "Agreement for BETWEEN THE DEPARTMENT
Professional and Technical OF REDEVELOPMENT AND
Se ces" between the City of STEVEN NYE FOR PROFES-
Sou h Bend, Department of Redevel SIONAL SERVICES IN THE
opment and Steven Nye, Re: East EAST BANK AREA
Bank, pending legal review, seconded
by Mr. Robinson, and the motion
was unanimously carried.
Ms. Derbeck: Does the contract
say how much you are going to pay
him
Mrs Kolata: It would be approximately
$1,)00.00.
7. PROGRES3 REPORTS
a. Tax Incremental Financing
Mrs Kolata: The resolution passed
at bur last meeting amending the Declaratory
Resolution to provide for an allocation.
area for purposes of tax incremental
financing has been approved by Area Plan
and sent along to the Common Council.
I b lieve it is on the Common Council's
age da for their meeting on Monday
evening. It would then be sent back to
us For a public hearing and a confirming
resolution. I believe when we give legal
notice of the public hearing that the
hearing cannot take place less than ten
days following the second publication.
This would mean that the earliest that
we could have a public hearing would be
July 14th. It may be necessary to call
a special meeting for the public
hearing and the confirming resolution
som time after July 14th.
Mr.jRobinson: Why the urgency?
Mrs Kolata: It may not be necessary to
sch dule a special meeting, but I did
want to bring it to your attention in
the event that we should have to call a
spe ial meeting.
-13-
