South Be
Regular
6. NEW
b.
Redevelopment Commission
ting - March 21, 1980
BUSINESS (continued)
continued.....
1 Number
Name
Amount
2 -6 & 2 -10 Charles & Lillian Stafford $688.39
Mr. Ellison: This parcel is a triangular one
that is on Linden, W. Stafford wishes
to use it for a storage yard. We have discussed
this with Mr. Butler, with the City Engineering
Department and with Mr. Stafford as the renewal
plar for LaSalle Park requires an 8 ft. fence.
The staff had some concern that the materials
bei g stored would not be visable from the
str et, and there was also some concern about
bli d spots for vehicles. We have appeared to
wor all those details out. In addition, the
staff has discussed this with the LaSalle Park
Council and there does not appear to be any
citizen objections for the disposition of this
pror.erty for this use.
Mr. Robinson made a motion to approve Resolution
#60 authorizing the execution of Redevelopment
Agr ement for disposition of land and the
execution of quit -claim deed(s) for the transfer
title thereto in connection with land to be
dis.osed of in the LaSalle Park Project, Ind.R -57
(Pa cel numbers 2 -6 & 2 -10 to Charles & Lillian
Sta ford for $688.39).
Mr. Robinson: How many more parcels in Ind. R -57
LaS 11e Park Project do we have left to sell?
Mr. Ellison: I suspect that we have 110 parcels
We would still like to ask the Commission to try
to sell these lots for $1.00 each to get them
out of our hands. Currently, we are having
a bit of a problem in that some people in the
neighborhood are asking our permission to
use the lots for gardening purposes and we
are not certain whether we may run into problems
for a person beginning to use a parcel as a
garden and then subsequently selling the parcel
for $1.00. What we may also request in the plan
is at the Commission approve that disposition
wou d not occur, in the event that anyone had
alr ady started gardening on the lot, Lentil
-17-
left.
RESOLUTION #607
APPROVED FOR SALE OF
LAND IN LASALLE PARK
IND.
