Nimtz: I think the attractiveness of the <br />a ea will certainly improve and it will be a <br />d sirable place to either live or work. <br />Mr. McMahon: The whole thrust of the <br />River Corridor report, which was done <br />in 1973, was that the enhancement of certain <br />piblic amenities in the area should serve <br />as an important stimulus to the development <br />of commercial and office space. I think <br />that was an important factor in the develop- <br />ment of Block Six. The improvement of the <br />raceway on the east side of the river, the <br />attractive aesthetics which it will bring <br />to those parcels that are adjacent to it <br />w 11 certainly prove to be a very great <br />factor in motivating the sale and <br />rejuvenation of those properties. <br />. Derbeck: Have you had any interest <br />em developers? <br />M s. Kolata: We have had interest from <br />Q ite a few. <br />. Derbeck: You mentioned that you would <br />1 ke to see the adaptive re -use of some <br />o the buildings. y <br />s. Kolata: -I think the Community Develop - <br />at plan of a couple of years ago, identified <br />ne that were suitable for re -use.
