PROGRESS REPORTS <br />Mr. E lison continues.... <br />As a result of that visit, we <br />were able to prepare close out <br />papers for the $2,126,000 Urgent <br />Needs Grant which was used to pay <br />some acquisition and relocation costs <br />f r the twenty -one (21) Century Mall <br />p rcels. <br />e $2,126,000 had been expended by <br />about late September or early January <br />of this year and has been audited. <br />We completed the close out papers in <br />order to begin the process to get <br />issued to the City what is referred to <br />as a "Certificate of Completion" for <br />t e project. It is expected that HUD <br />will sign off on the certificate and <br />tat the project will then officially <br />( he Urgent Needs Grant part of it) be <br />c osed out sometime next week. <br />. Nimtz: It has already gone in and <br />e Mayor has signed it? <br />. Ellison: Yes, the Mayor has signed <br />e Certificate of Completion. <br />. Nimtz: I met with Eleanor Granger <br />ice while she was here from HUD, and <br />had no criticisms or suggestions at <br />ther meeting I had with her. She <br />Lmd everything in order and as usual <br />id we were in order and were doing a <br />)d job. <br />Nimtz: Mrs. Baumgartner, do you want <br />tell us about your job this afternoon? <br />. Baumgartner: This afternoon we are <br />rding twelve homestead homes. Our <br />estead program is our most successful <br />gram. It will be held at 2 o'clock in <br />Council chambers and the press is welcome. <br />Nimtz: Do we still want to hold a <br />i.al meeting on the 15th of September? <br />.
