,August. 19,19o2.7 :15 P.M. Hearing on Condemnation pesolution No.5 adopted on the 29 day of July,1902 .A remo st ranee age inst the opening; of said St .was filed by J .B .Mart in, B.G .Page,E . `Paopening of South Main Street/. A number of resident property owners affected by the opening of said street appeared before the Board and we re inf ormed that demands had been made by owns rs of the -property which would have to be appropriated, (aggregating 13 0 00.00 ). Said p rope rt y owners were of the unanimous opinion that they would not care. to have the street opened if the cost amoutied to such alarge sum. property owners on the north of said opening were -averse to paying any assessments wl-Ateve r for such opening, on the ground that they had already paid the entire cost of opening that part of Main Street once owned by Mr.Waddams and which lay directly north of their property, also on the ground that this proposed opening was of no benefit to their respective prope rt ie s . The board being of the opinion that this opening could be carried out at a cost of �5000.00 or $6000 .00,which would involve assessments of reasonable amounts, deem it best to open the A, reet • Accordingly. the Board declare the following described property condemned for such opening% Begin on south line of Indiana avenue at a point due south of center of Main Street 1. hence east 49 1/2 ft .t o a, point doe south of east line of Main St ree t, the nce south 397 ft .,the nce west 49 1/2 ft,thence north to place of be ginnin -,,.Owned by Lucretia M .Creed .
