OLD BUSINESS <br />a. Commission approval reg <br />ment between the City o <br />Redevelopment, and the <br />the sale of land for re <br />ested to modi <br />South Bend, <br />ouch Bend Pub <br />evelopment. <br />an agree- <br />partment of <br />C Library for <br />Mr. llison: The staff prepared and legal counsel <br />revi wed a modification of our original Sale Contract <br />with the library for a parcel of land to the South of <br />the library on which the library will eventually con - <br />stru t improvements. The modification essentially <br />exte ds the time to begin and complete construction by <br />one year, and allows them on an interim basis to use <br />the land for surface parking. It is necessary that <br />the ommission formally approve this agreement so that <br />the 3ales Contract can be modified. The original <br />contract gave them five years to begin construction <br />and even years to complete it. In June 1978 we <br />appr ved the first modification, which gave them a <br />two ear extension. At our last commission meeting we <br />app r ved a one year extension.
