J." <br />Contracts signed with Hugh. Anderson for the Witherill Street and the "E" <br />Street improvements under Improvement Resolutions 74 and 75 respectively, <br />Plat Of Payne's Subdivision of lots one to fifteen Gorsuch Third Addition to <br />South Bend referred to the Engineer for a report on the advisability of approval. <br />Engineer reported favorably on the adoption of the plat of Payne's Subdivision <br />of lots 1 to 15 Gorsuch Third Addi t ion to South Bend. The plat was accordingly 6p_ <br />proved and the copy filed. <br />Assessment roll and final estimate filed for the Frances Street pipe sewer <br />under Improvement Resolution No•60. RESOLVED that notices as to the amount�of assess- <br />ments be published in the South Be r d Daily Tribune <br />and <br />in the South Bend <br />Daily Times <br />for six successive days beginning on the 8th.day of <br />July,1902,stating <br />that <br />this <br />Board will give a hearing as to the amount of assessments on the 15th•day of July,1902 <br />at 7:15 P.M. RESOLVED further that the entire work under this contract be accepted <br />and approved and the final estimate therefor allowed. Notice of this Resolution <br />shall be <br />published <br />in the South Bend <br />Daily Tribune and in <br />the <br />South Bend <br />Daily <br />Times <br />on the <br />8th.day df <br />July,1902,stating <br />that this Board will <br />give <br />a hearing <br />as to <br />the <br />acceptance of such work and the confirmation of this estimate on the 15th.day of <br />July.1902 at 7:15 P.M. <br />The Engineer reported that in regard to the Vacation Re s olut ion No.14 adopted <br />on the 20th•day of June,1902 one Isaac Farheman was the owner of Lot 260 in Daniel <br />Garst's Subdivision of Garst's First Addition to South Bend City,and that he alone <br />should be assessed for such vacation and that the making of awards would be unnee- <br />essary. After invest igat ion, the Board determined to adopt the opinion of the Engineer <br />and he re by fix the assessment of said Farneman at one hundred dollars .Said Farne man <br />appeared personally before the Board and a notice was personally served upon him <br />as to the <br />amount of his assessment -Such notice <br />provided that <br />a hearing <br />as to the <br />amount of <br />this assessment would be given at the <br />office of the <br />Board on <br />the ;5th. <br />day of July,1902 at 7:15 P.M. <br />
