January 13. 1902. Petitions for improvement of DeMaude and Woodward Avenue referred back to board by, the engineer with the suggestion that same be held pending a general scheme imp- rob'ement in that locality. Petition filed for curbing and sidewalks on Elmira street from Michigan to 2ellows streets. Engineer presented drawings and specifications for the brick paving of Laurel Eddy and Wayne streets and E. Colfax Avenue. IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 43. Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of Soutn Bend, Indiana: That an improvement be made of the kind, size, location and terminal points as follows: The paving of Laurel street with brick from the south line of Washington street to the north line of Division street. Said improvement shall be known and designated as "Laurel Street Brick" and shall be constructed according to the plans and specificationd prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of this resolution and proposals for bids -for the execution of the above work shall be published on the 14 day of Januany-and on the 21 day of January 1902 in the South Bend Daily Tribune and in the South Bend Daily Times. This Board will give a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City Hall on the 28 day of January 1902, at 7:15 P. M. and will receive bids up to 10 A. M. on the 3 day of February 1902.
