El <br />UMM <br />Engineer reported sewer and water connections on Navarre street from the west <br />line of north Michigan street to Portage Avenue. The report was presented to the Common <br />Council on May I3th.I90I and by them adopted. Hereby ordered that publication of this <br />report be made in the South Bend Daily Tribune and in the South Bend Daily Times on the <br />I6th. and 17th. days of May 1901. <br />Resolved that the entire work under the contract for the construction of the <br />Division street sewer from Laurel street to Arnold street and from walnut street to the <br />Singer sewer, be accepted and the final estimate therefor allowed. Notice of this resolution <br />shall be published in the South;:Bend Daily Tribune and in the South Bend Daily Times on <br />the 16 day of May 1901, stating that on Tuesday May 2801901i 3t 70015 P.X. this board at Its <br />office in the City Hall will receive and hear objections from any 'person feeling himself <br />aggrieved or injured by the acceptance of this work or by this estimate. <br />Petition presented by Arthur G.Keltner and others asking for the passage of a <br />resolution declaring for the grading of south Lafayette street from Ewing Avenue to the <br />north end of the Loughman and Slick Addition. Referred to the Engineer for specifications. <br />City Clerk instructed to make a deed to David Armstrong for the north half of <br />Cemetery lot No. 706 Third Addition. <br />The instructions to the Engineer given May 14� 1901, as to omitting part of the <br />Harris street improvement are hereby changed so as to include the entire improvement asked <br />for by the petition. Remonstrance against that part of the improvement between Huron street <br />and the Grand Trunk and Western R.R.thrown out, as board have discovered that it contains <br />names of persona who are not resident property owners. <br />Resolved that a petition or remonstrance presented to this board concerning <br />street improvements which contains names other than those of resident property owners <br />will be rejected. <br />President. <br />
