19 Petition for approval of a plat of Leers Addition refused because said plat was not properly. named and because of non conformity of Midway street. Plat of the Harris Addition to the City of South Bend, approved. Plat presented by Clem Studebaker,"Second Plat Summit Place Addition to South Bend", refused on ground of non conformity of Olive street* Drawings and specifications for a pipe sewer on Clinton street presented by the Engineer, and filed. IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO5. RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND"INDIANA: .That an improvement be made of the.kind, size, location and terminal points as follows: The construction of a ten and twelve inch pipe sewer on Clinton street from South street to Sample street. Said improvement shall be. known and designated as "Clinton Sewer" and eall be oon:structed!-according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer filed herewith. Notice of this resolution and proposals for the execution of the above work shall be published on the 30th,day ob March and on the 6th,day of April 1901,in the South Bend Daily Tribune and in the South Bend Daily Times. This Board will give a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City Mall on the 16th,day of Aprill9Oliat 7:15 p.m,. and will receive bids up to 7p.m. on the 16th day of April 1901. Engineer presented drawings and specifications for grading and cement walks and curbs on "A"street from Michigan Avenue, to the north end of "A"street. IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO$. RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,INDIANA: That an improvement be made of the kind,size,location and terminal points as follows: The construction of cement sidewalks and cement curbs on "A"street from Michigan -Avenue to the north end of "A"street also grading said street. Said improvement shall-be,known and designated as "A"street cement and grade" and shall be -constructed according to the plans and specifications prepared by -the City Civil Engineer file d herewith.Notice of this resole_ tion and proposals for bids for the execution of the work shall.be published on the 10day of April 1901, in the South Bend Daily Tribune and in the South Bend Daily, Times. Tj1is_Boaxd will give a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City Hall ,on the 23 day of April 1901, at 7:15 p.m., and will receive bids up to 7 p.m. on the 23 day of April 1901. Ordered that every bid offered to this board be accompanied by a certified check to be approved by the board and made payable to the board,as a guarantee of the good faith and responsibility of the bidder.Also ordered that contractors upon execution of their contract shall file a bond in a sum equal to fifty per cent of the contract price such bond to be signed by at least two resident freehold sureties or by some surety company in good standing and authorized to do business in this state.
