Appendix A <br />Proposal for City of South Bend; Department of Community Investment <br />Skills for Success - Manufacturing <br />Background <br />The Purdue University Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP Center) is the National Institute of Standards <br />and Technology's (NIST) Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Center for the State of Indiana. <br />This is a national system of centers located in all 50 states and Puerto Rico with over 1,200 consultants serving <br />as trusted business advisors and technical experts ready and able to assist small and mid -sized manufacturing <br />companies. Purdue MEP deploys technical experts, who work closely with Indiana manufacturers and companies <br />to improve their efficiency, management systems, profitability, and growth through various engagement <br />methodologies.
