WAS APPROVED <br />To—Tth <br />in letter roEl r.` James Harcus ;`Director, Bureau <br />o <br />ousin . <br />During <br />the rehabilitation of the Southeast Neighborhood <br />Center, <br />General Construction contractor, Charles Brown <br />Maintenance <br />Co., Inc. recommended an alternative to that <br />specified <br />as the remedy of a floor problem in existence <br />in <br />the Neighborhood Center structure. Upon review of this <br />alternative, <br />presented as a Change Order proposal to the <br />contractor, <br />the recommendation was accepted and instruc- <br />tion <br />to proceed was issued to Mr. Brown. The Commission <br />is <br />requested to approve Change Order #2 for a decrease <br />in <br />contract price of $640.00. <br />Mr. <br />Robinson made a motion to approve Change Order #2, <br />with <br />Charles Brown Maintenance Company, Inc., for a <br />decrease <br />in contract price of $640.00, at the address <br />of <br />14 -416 East Wenger Street, seconded by Mr. Donaldson, <br />and <br />the motion was unanimously carried. <br />7. PROGRESS REPORTS <br />Mr. Eck rle: Mr. Ellison is in Washington, D. C. this morning; <br />he is meeting with the Mayor, and all the other principals <br />involved with the "hole" project, at the Department of <br />Housing and Urban Development. <br />We have also acquired another parcel in the Century Mall, <br />The Gal enkamp Shoe Store; that leaves only five more parcels <br />remaini g to be acquired, not counting the five that have <br />had con errnation proceedings started. (Boul Jeff, Newmans, <br />Berg Je elry Store, Jefferson Book Store, and Zondervans). <br />Mr. Nim z: The Chair would like to take this opportunity <br />on behalf of the Commission, to recognize and congratulate <br />Mr. Har s and Kathy Baumgartner, and the other staff <br />members of the Bureau of Housing on the ceremony concerning <br />the conveyance of the Homestead Deed, which was held at the <br />Century Center on Wednesday, May 30, 1979. It was a very <br />nice pr gram and handled nicely. <br />8. NEXT COMMISSION DEETING <br />The next regularly scheduled Commission meeting will be held <br />on June 15, 1979 at 10:00 A.M. <br />MR.
