Comrnis ion approval requested for Change Order #4, R.A. Stickler <br />Plumb' for an increase in contract `price `of $l f-00, for an <br />amended contract total of 9 3.00 at the address of 1416 Cha ea <br />Street as set forth in letter from Mr. James Harcus, Director, <br />Mr. H cus: The rehabilitation contract for 1416 Campeau Street <br />specified replacement of lavatory and water closet in the bath- <br />room, the kitchen sink, and associated drains and traps. While <br />servicing these items, plumber observed that pipes had rotted. <br />Bureau Inspector confirmed observation and acquired cost estimate <br />for replacement of pipes. The plumber was well advanced in the <br />servic of original contract and a delay in approving replacement <br />of defective pipes would have left the homeowner without use of <br />bathroom. Bureau Director therefore immediately issued a `Proceed <br />Notice' for replacement of piping as listed on Change Order No. 4 <br />at a c st of $185.00. Approval of this action is requested. <br />Ms. Auburn made a motion to approve Change Order #4, with R.A. <br />Stickl r Plumbing, for an increase in contract price of $185.00, <br />second Ed by Mr. Cira, and the motion was unanimously carried. <br />j. Commission. approval requested for Change Order #5, Charles Brown <br />Maintenance Company, Inc. contract rice is not increased for <br />an amended contract total of $4,234.00, as set forth in letter <br />from Yhq. James Harcus Director Bureau of Housing. <br />Mr. cus: Rehabilitation contract for 1206 East Miner Street <br />specified replacement of front porch joists and deck. At job <br />site a consultation was held between Bureau Inspector and <br />General Construction contractor, Mr. Charles Brown. It was <br />decided that a cement porch deck would be preferable and the <br />homeowner concurred. To maintain work continuity, the Bureau <br />Director was prevailed to issue a specification change "Proceed <br />Notice" and he so complied.
