NEW BUSINESS (Continued) <br />g. co$ tinued.... . <br />Ms. Auburn made a motion to approve Resolution #573, <br />authorizing the president and secretary to execute a <br />Redevelopment Agreement for disposition of land and <br />the execution of quit claim deed(s) for the transfer <br />of title thereto in connection with land to be disposed <br />of in the LaSalle Park Project Ind. R -57, parcels 17 -6 <br />an 17 -7, to Elton Gailday and Marie Gailday in the amount <br />of $578.55, seconded by Mr. Donaldson, and the motion <br />wa unanimously carried`. <br />h. Co*ission authorization requested to execute contract for <br />ssional services with James E. Chil <br />subject to legal counsel review. <br />Associates <br />Mr Ellison: Essentially, the contract calls for the <br />Ch Id's firm to provide a study which can assist the <br />Commission in its deliberation and study processes in an <br />area locally known as the Monroe - Sample one. The contract <br />describes general tasks which are of a planning nature. It <br />is the staff's recommendation that the commission authorize <br />th s contract to enable us to carry forth the process which <br />be an two weeks ago, when we were authorized to begin an <br />in estigation process of this particular area. <br />CONTRACT WITH <br />JAMES E. CHILDS <br />$ ASSOCIATES, <br />INC. APPROVED <br />The Chair noted that an additional reason for executing the <br />co tract was to place the Commission in the position to act <br />quickly to take advantage of development opportunities, which <br />ma exist in the Monroe - Sample area. The Chair then recommended <br />Coimission approval of the contract. <br />Mr Robinson made a motion to approve the contract for professional <br />services with James E. Childs & Associates, Inc. subject to legal <br />counsel review, seconded by Mr. Cira, and the motion was unanimously <br />carried. (Ms. Auburn was abstained from voting because of a <br />possible conflict of interest). <br />7. PROGRESS REPORT <br />Th ere <br />time. <br />8.
