Brownell read this letter in part and pointed out that on page two <br />oF this communication it indicated the Odd Fellows Building was not <br />eligible to be placed on the National Register. Did the American Bank take up part of the <br />s dewalk when they moved out of there? <br />M . Brownell: Yes, but they have been put in new since then. They <br />r placed one or two sections. There were vaults under-dhere, and they <br />b ilt a wall, filled it in, and tamped it with one of these machines; but <br />a parently didn't compact the fill well enough. <br />1.
