A.Stickler Plumbing for an increase in contract price of $48.00 <br />(for an amended contract total of $3,371.00). Change order called for <br />replacement of tank fixtures in water closet. Mr. Robinson moved <br />approval, seconded by Mr. Wiggins, and carried. <br />i. Mr. Brownell described Change Order #1 to Contract #NECD /3B, with <br />F. A. Stickler Plumbing, for an increase in contract price of $360.00. <br />he change order called for removal of the subfloor and replacement of <br />lead lines, and installation of water closet and lavoratory; it was <br />iscovered there were lead drain lines. The subfloor would cost <br />30.00, to clean the main sewer would cost $50.00, to remove all <br />lead drain lines would cost $35.00, to replace the drain lines would <br />cost $135.00, replace subfloor $80.00, and to replace water closet <br />and lavoratory cost $30.00, for a grand total of $360.00. Mr. Robinson <br />uestioned the subfloor. "The removal cost $30.00, and to replace it <br />cost $80.00, does this include new plywood ?" Mr. Richard E. Pfeifer <br />xplained that this was a new subfloor they would be installing. <br />Mr. Donaldson moved approval, seconded by Mr. Wiggins and carried. <br />j. Mr. Brownell described Change Order #1 to Contract #NECD /3B, with <br />R. A. Stickler Plumbing, for an increase in contract price of $27.00 <br />(for an amended contract total of $4,243.00). Change order called for <br />eseating of a water closet which is leaking. Mr. Donaldson moved <br />approval, seconded by Mr. Robinson, and carried. <br />k. Mr. Brownell described Change Order #1 to Contract #NWCD /3B, with <br />F. A. Stickler Plumbing, for an increase in contract price of $63.00 <br />(for an amended contract total of $6,471.00). The subfloor had rotted <br />under the water closet and it needed replaced at a cost of $63.00. <br />Mr. Wiggins moved approval, seconded by Mr. Robinson, and carried. <br />1. Mr. Brownell described Change Order #1 to Contract #NWCD /3B, with <br />Brittain Construction Company, for an increase in contract price of <br />$703.00 (for an amended contract total of $6,408.00). Change order <br />calls for hauling four yards of dirt for grade, a tuck point of 100 <br />1 vial feet of foundation, installation of galvanized window, and twelve <br />square feet of walkway, and installation of ten feet of ten inch chimney <br />flue. Mr. Robinson questioned the original bid. "What are these <br />contractors responsible for? If he is going to bid on a job, he should <br />know what he is bidding on. It is his business to know what he is bidding <br />on. I can approve part of this change order, the rest I cannot. It is <br />the responsibility of the contractor to know what he is buying and if <br />h can't do it, he shouldn't be saying anything." Mr. Brownell read <br />he letter from Mr. Richard E.
