8. RESIGNATION Mr. Brownell advised he has received the resignation of one of our RESIGNATION, employees, Miss Patricia L. Joers, who is resigning effective today, MISS PATRICIA Oct ber 1, 1976. L. NEXT COMMISSION MEETING The next regularly - scheduled meeting of the Redevelopment Commission NEXT will be Friday, October 15, 1976, at 10:00 a.m., E.S.T., in the of- COMMISSION fic s of the Department of Redevelopment. MEETING, 10 -15 -76 10. ADJ There being no further business, motion was duly made by Mr. Robinson, ADJOURNMENT seconded by Mr. Wiggins and carried, for adjournment, at 10:15 a.m. 11. MEETING RECONVENED President Nimtz directed, that the Commission meeting be reconvened, COMMISSION and the record show that Commissioners Wiggins, Robinson, Donaldson MEETING and Nimtz are present, and the Chair called on Mr. Lloyd S. Taylor, RECONVENED Managing Agent, St. Joseph River Bend Development Corporation. Mr. Taylor presented Check No. 116, in the amount of $67,957.60, from PARTIAL the St. Joseph River Bend Development Corporation, which is a partial TAKE -DOWN, take down of Parcel 6 -1B. He requested it be made a matter of record PARCEL 6 -1B, that there is a defect in the title presently, and that they are R -66 going ahead and closing so that they can proceed with the construc- tion of the building. Mr. Taylor stated he would like to have some assurance, however, that this defect will be cleared up by the De- partnent of Redevelopment. Mr. 3rownell advised that he is familiar with the matter and that Mr. 3utler is also. Mr. <evin J. Butler, Commission Legal Counsel, advised the defect that Mr. Taylor is referring to is in the eastern area streets and alleys--the eastern portion of the Downtown Project Area- -that have not been finally vacated yet. In order to vacate effectively and still retain a title in the portions of the streets and alleys that are to be vacated, and, in turn, under the new replat rededicated as port ons of streets or alleys, it is necessary to accomplish the vacation and the replat simultaneously. The replat petition has to be s gned by the Redevelopment Commission as the owner of much of the roperty in that area and also has to be joined in by the other prop rty owners this property abuts -- the.streets and alleys that are being vacated. We have had some problem in obtaining the signature of de owner of a portion of what is referred to as Disposition Parcel Block 7 in the Royal Inn area. Mr. Earl Gagosian and wife own a portion of that and we have been unable at this point to get their signatures on it. Mr. Butler advised that he talked with Mr. Boynton on Wednesday,
