REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 19, 2019 379 The Regular Meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 10:32 a.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2019, by Board President Gary A. Gilot, with Board Members Elizabeth Maradik, Therese Dorau, and Laura O'Sullivan present. Board Member Genevieve Miller was absent. Also present was Board Attorney Clara McDaniels and Clerk of the Board Linda Martin. Mr. Gilot noted the addition of a Request to Advertise for VPA Chemicals to the agenda. APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Ms. O'Sullivan and carried, the minutes of the Agenda Review Session, Regular Meeting and Claims Meeting of the Board held on December 5, 10, and 17, 2019, were approved. ELECTION OF 2020 BOARD OF WORKS PRESIDENT Ms. Maradik made a motion to nominate Mr. Gilot to continue to serve as President of the Board for 2020. Ms. Dorau seconded the motion, which carried. APPPROVE 2020 CITY EMPLOYEE HOLIDAY SCHEDULE In a memo to the Board, Mr. Dan Parker, City Controller, presented the proposed 2020 city holiday schedule, approved by the Mayor's Office. Upon a motion by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Ms. O'Sullivan and carried, the 2020 City Employee Holiday Schedule was approved as presented. OPENING OF BIDS — SALE OF CITY PROPERTY — 901 E. MINER ST. This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referenced property. The Clerk tendered proof of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune which was found to be sufficient. Ms. Maradik noted this was a proposal request and the proposals will be scored based on a matrix, it will not be the high bidder that is awarded necessarily. Therefore, the names of the following proposals submitted were read into the record: THOMAS & CONNIE UNDERLY 50960 Redwood Rd. South Bend, IN 46628 KENNETH L. KENT JR. AKA DCBA, LLC 3010 Hickory Rd. Mishawaka, IN 46545 Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Ms. O'Sullivan and carried, the above proposals were referred to Community Investment for review and recommendation. OPENING AND AWARD OF QUOTATIONS — CLEVELAND SOUTH WELL FIELD BULK FLUORIDE TANK REPLACEMENT — PROJECT NO 118-021 B (RWDA TIF) Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed Quotations for the above referenced project. The following Quotations were opened and read: R.
