<br />Public Disclosure for Disposition Parcel No. 6 -2, Plaza Park,
<br />Project Indiana R -66: Mr. C. Wayne Brownell, Executive Direc-
<br />tor, Department of Redevelopment, advised the Public Notice
<br />was published on March 6, 1976, and the Affidavit by Ms. Doris
<br />L. Woodruff, The South Bend Tribune, certifies the date of
<br />publication. A copy was included in the packets.
<br />Reading.of the Public Notice was waived by the Presiding
<br />Officer, Mr. Donald A. Wiggins, Vice President.
<br />Mr. Brownell advised the publishing of this notice is required
<br />under HUD regulations for consideration of sale of land for
<br />redevelopment. This involves Disposition Parcel No. 6 -2, which
<br />is the Plaza Park - -a four (4) acre strip along the St. Joseph
<br />River, from Jefferson Bridge to Monroe, including the bridge
<br />which is being converted from a railroad bridge to the pedes-
<br />trian bridge across the St. Joseph River.

<br />Legal Counsel, Mr. Kevin J. Butler, advised we need authoriza-
<br />tion now to confirm and approve the sale of Disposition Parcel
<br />No. 6 -2, to the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, and authoriz-
<br />ing the execution of the Contract for Sale of Land for Redevelop-
<br />ment, and the Quit -Claim Deed, by the President and Secretary.
<br />The motion was made by Mr. Robinson, seconded by Mr. Cira and
<br />carried, that the Contract, with the Civil City of South Bend;
<br />Indiana, is confirmed and approved, for the sale of Disposition
<br />Parcel No. 6 -2, in amount of $160,000.00, in Project Indiana
<br />R -66, and the President and Secretary be authorized to execute
<br />said Contract and Quit -Claim Deed.
