6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont'd <br />Also, there is a request from Mr. George W. Batchelder, <br />President, Nautilus Construction Company, to Mr. McMahon, <br />dated February 2, 1976, for an extension of time on the <br />Colfax /Pier Park Contract to complete the items of work <br />enumerated in the punch -list of the pre - final inspection. <br />The persistant ice and snow has not permitted them to work <br />on the gabions and made it almost impossible to finish the <br />grading. <br />Completion and final inspection should be within 30 days <br />and extension is requested to: March 3, 1976. Mr. McMahon's <br />letter dated February 3, 1976, to Mr. Brownell concurs in the <br />time extension. <br />Motion for the approval of Change Order No. l to the Colfax/ <br />Pier Park Dredging Project Contract No. 1, for an increase <br />in contract amount of $1,910.00, or total amended contract <br />of $49,286.00, and a 30- daytime extension approved, with <br />a new completion date of March 3, 1976, was made by Mr. <br />Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Robinson and carried. Approval <br />is subject to HUD concurrence. <br />b. Proclaimer No. 6, Acquisition Parcel No. 22 -5A, Project PROCLAIMER <br />Indiana R -66: Authorization was requested for the Executive NO. 6, <br />Director, Mr. C. Wayne Brownell, to execute Proclaimer No. 6, ACQUISITION <br />per the Schedule A that was attached, for Acquisition Parcel PARCEL 22 -5A, <br />No. 22 -5A, Project Indiana R -66. R -66 <br />Acquisition Parcel 22 -5A has an approximate area square footage <br />of 3,432 feet, with appraisals made by Ralph D. Lauver and <br />Jerome E. Michaels, the avera e of which is: $4.66. The ap- <br />proximate reuse valuation is 16,000.00. <br />Mr. Dan Caesar asked the address of the above parcel. Mr. Bill <br />Parrish, Real Estate Officer, advised it is 26 feet off of In- <br />wood's Parking lot- -the easiest way to describe it - -26 x 132. <br />It is west of Inwood's. Mr. Brownell advised the 26 feet is <br />off the east end of the lot. <br />Commissioner Wiggins advised the purpose of this is to extend <br />that alley or area way to 40 feet - -to widen it and create an <br />access way 40 feet wide. This has been a part of the project <br />everywhere that we could without having to remove buildings to <br />do it, in order to accommodate rear deliveries. Ms. Derbeck <br />asked if that is being done across the whole block, and Mr. <br />Brownell advised the rest is being purchased or negotiated. <br />Mr. Wiggins moved to authorize the Executive Director to exe- <br />cute Proclaimer No. 6, Acquisition Parcel No. 22 -5A, Project <br />Indiana R -66. Motion was seconded by Mr. Robinson and carried. <br />
