7. <br />Trustees Report: The Chair recognized Mr. Morris L. TRUSTEES <br />Morrison, President, South Bend Board of Redevelopment REPORT <br />Trustees, to give a Trustees report. <br />Mr. Morrison reported on the Trustees Annual Meeting, held <br />on December 1, 1975. Mr. Bert Liss was nominated by the <br />Judge of the St. Joseph Circuit Court as a member of the <br />Board of Redevelopment Trustees to complete the unexpired <br />term of Mr. Edgar Wertheimer, and the appointment was made <br />by Mayor Jerry J. Miller on November 20, 1975. The term <br />expiration date is: November 20, 1977. <br />The election of officers for <br />in the Annual Meeting were: <br />President: <br />Vice President <br />Secretary: <br />Member: <br />the Redevelopment Trustees ANNUAL <br />ELECTION <br />OF OFFICERS, <br />Morris L. Richardson <br />Mr. Morrison advised we are short of one (1) Trustee on <br />the Board of Redevelopment Trustees, and that we have been <br />waiting for the Common Council to name a replacement for <br />Mr. William A. Weltheimer which we expect to have shortly. <br />Mr. Morrison stated, he is pleased to announce, on behalf REDEVELOPMENT <br />of the Trustees, that the following Redevelopment Commis- COMMISSIONERS <br />sioners are being re- appointed to serve as a Commissioner APPOINTED TO <br />of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission, Department of SERVE 1976 <br />Redevelopment, for the calendar year 1976: CALENDAR YEAR <br />F. Jay Nimtz <br />Donald A. Wiggins <br />A. Peter Donaldson <br />Robert J. Cira <br />Mr. Morrison added that he had checked with each one of the <br />Commissioners if they would be willing to serve for another <br />calendar year, if re- appointed - -not promising them anything- - <br />and they all said, "yes." <br />He advised that he had also checked with Mr. John E. Chenney- - <br />Jack, effectionately known to us - -if he would accept another <br />term, and Mr. Chenney had advised him that he has served a <br />long time and that he would prefer he not be re- appointed <br />and a replacement be named instead. <br />Mr. Morrison, addressing his comment to Mr. Chenney said: <br />Jack: <br />We wilt mizz you; the Comm,ussion wilt miss you; <br />the City wite maz you -- but, don't stay away! <br />- 7 - <br />
