One family and one individual <br />expect to close on their new dwellings by July 1, <br />1975. <br />3) E -6 Model Neighborhood Code Enforcement Project: Mr. John E -6 MODEL <br />Davis, Project Director of the E -6 Program; in NEIGHBORHOOD <br />his written report, advised the work is continuing CODE ENFORCE <br />in the E -6 Code Enforcement Area: A total of three MENT PROJECT <br />(3) contractors are engaged in physical rehabilita- <br />tion. <br />Contracts 15, 16, 18, 19 and 20 were awarded through <br />the E -6 Approval Committee action during the month <br />of June. <br />Due to the June 30th close -out date for the Model <br />Cities Program, there were no "initial inspections" <br />or "initial financial contacts" made, although there <br />were four (4) "final" inspections made in June. <br />4) E -7 Bureau of Housing Report: Mr. Kenneth J. Schaller, E -7 BUREAU <br />Project Director, Bureau of Housing, submitted a OF HOUSING <br />written report for the month of June, 1975. REPORT <br />As of June 30th, there are 119 applicants to the <br />E -7 Program. The Advisory Committee has approved <br />71 applications - -24 have been tabled, rejected or <br />made eligible for relocation benefits. The remain- <br />ing 24 applicants are in various stages of process- <br />ing. <br />We have also been experiencing some input from citi- <br />zens who live outside the project boundaries in re- <br />gards to grant application. Many have heard about <br />the program and would like to apply but are unable <br />to because their property is located beyond the <br />limits set forth for the project. <br />Thirteen (13) Notices to Proceed have been issued <br />to a total of six contractors. Twenty -three (23) <br />contracts are presently being scheduled for pre - <br />construction conferences prior to issuing the <br />Notice to Proceed. Work has been finalized on <br />eight (8) homes and the balance should be com- <br />pleted shortly. <br />A total of sixty -five (65) homes are on contract. <br />All monies available to the project for fiscal <br />year '75 have been allocated. The next contract <br />set to be issued will be done so under fiscal year <br />'76 funding. <br />- 12 - <br />
